Abstract Submissions Now Closed
We are grateful for the enthusiastic response to our call for abstracts for the ASM-IISc Symposium on the One Health Approach to Antimicrobial Resistance. Abstract submissions officially closed on June 30, and we deeply appreciate the strong engagement from researchers across the scientific community.
Due to the high volume of submissions—far exceeding our hosting capacity—we regret that we are unable to accept additional abstracts or grant extensions at this time.
If you were unable to submit an abstract, we warmly invite you to join us as a registered participant. Registration details will be announced shortly.
For those who submitted an abstract, notification of acceptance will be sent by early August.
In the meantime, we encourage you to follow the for curated updates, announcements and new opportunities in microbial sciences.

Abstract Guidelines
- The abstract submitter must be the first/presenting author.
- An abstract may only be submitted once. It is the responsibility of the first/presenting author to get approval of all co-authors before placing their names on an abstract.
- Each presenter can submit up to 1 abstract only. The presenting author must be registered by Aug. 24, 2025, or the abstract will be withdrawn.
- Please note that the registration fee is already subsidized to ensure broad and equitable participation. Therefore, individual waiver requests cannot be accommodated. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in helping us extend this benefit fairly to all participants.
- The presenter agrees to register for the symposium and be available to present at the AV Rama Rao Auditorium on the IISc campus in Bengaluru on Oct. 29-31, 2025. Remote presentations formats are not available.
- The presenting author is responsible for all expenses and documentation related to the presentation of their abstract(s) if accepted to the program. ºÚÁÏÕýÄÜÁ¿does not provide funding, registration waivers or other support unless specified. If you require a visa support letter to attend the conference, please write to us at pubsmktg@asmusa.org. We encourage international participants to apply for their visas well in advance.
- Abstracts must be well written and easy to understand, with results clearly presented.
- Abstracts must be written in English.
- Submission deadlines are firm. Late abstracts will not be accepted.
- Rejected abstracts may not be edited or resubmitted.
- Programming decisions are considered final. Once sessioned, an abstract will not be moved to another day.
- Please use a short and concise title that indicates the content of the abstract.
- All author(s)'s name(s), institution(s), location(s), title(s) must be included.
- Your abstract may have up to 500 words, which does not include title, authors, groups and affiliations.
- Tables and graphics are not included in the character count.
- Spaces are not counted. Do not include abstract titles, authors or keywords in abstract text.
- Abstract text may be submitted using the following methods: either copy/paste, direct entry keystrokes or file upload.
- Your abstract may be written without the use of the following bolded headers: Background, Methods, Results, Conclusion.
- Follow the abstract guidelines to ensure all required information about your study is provided in your abstract. 
- A0 Size: 118.8 cm (height) x 84.1 cm (width), portrait (vertical).
- Font: Arial, Calibri, Times Roman.
- Please note that poster presenters must print their posters in English and are responsible for printing their posters. ºÚÁÏÕýÄÜÁ¿and CIDR-IISc are not able to provide printing services for the symposium.
- All submitted posters should be in English and include the poster title, authors, affiliations, introduction, methods, results and conclusions.
